4 Days Adventure Tour to Danakil Depression Itinerary Day 1: Morning fly to Mekele- then Proceed to Hamed Ella for overnight. Drive from Mekelle airport to Dallol pass through the town of Berahile 120 km asphalted road then drive another 48 kms on asphalted road to Hamed Ella and overnight there. Overnight Camping at Hamed Ella. Meal (BB, LL, DD) Day 2: Drive some 20 km to the lowest spot which is sandy and fascinating Dallol a strange lunar landscape with active volcanoes malodor, sulphar caked, hot springs, black lava flows and vast salt /incrusted basin. The same day in the afternoon drive back to Abala on the way have lunch at Berahile then continue dring some 80 kms to have a night in a guest house with moderate temperature. Overnight at Guest house at Abala Meal (BB, LL, DD) Day 3: Drive from Abala to Erta Alle through the asphalted road Eripti. The volcano and the magma can be approached just a 30 km distance from Afdera is the turning point to Erta Ale.  All about 60 kms is sandy, stony and dusty road. You will have a lunch at Gilisa house then continue driving on a rough road to Dodo. There in Dodo you will leave the car and walk  for about 3 – 4 hours on foot or on camel back, visiting the magma flow and one of the stunning  active Volcano in the world . Then your night will be on the top of Erta alle on selected Camping ground. Meal (BB, LL, DD) Day 4: Drive back to Mekele then fly back to Addis Ababa Morning drive back to Mekele with long camel caravan chains –then as per the flight schedule get transferred to the airport to fly back to Addis Ababa.
